And now my kitchen looks like a Famous Smoke commercial. Instead of my usual oatmeal or boiled eggs I decided to make myself a fancy breakfast… bagel, Laughing Cow cheese, tomato, and a slice of turkey bacon. Only I decided to cook the bacon in the microwave, and put the one slice on for the same amount of time it takes for four slices… and it burned up in there. Then while I was dealing with THAT, my bagel burned up in the toaster.
Yep, yep, I am a gourmet chef alright.
I’ve never had any lucky cooking bacon in the microwave. The worst was when I tried to reheat leftover bacon that was already cooked. I only did it a few seconds and it disintegrated. It turned to crumbs or something. I couldn’t believe it. I just stood there looking at it. Anytime anything takes something to eat away from me, it loses favor in my eyes.
