So. My throat started hurting on Sunday evening. On Tuesday afternoon, I went to the doctor, who prescribed penicillin for the horrible stabbing burning pain in my throat. I started on it right away. I’m on my third day of this medication, and the pain is not getting any better. Impatient? Yes, maybe I am, but I’ve consulted Dr. Google and he says that I should feel better within 2 or 3 days of beginning antibiotics. WELL IT’S BEEN TWO OR THREE DAYS, PENICILLIN! Absolutely no better. Sleeping all the time. No need to even think about finding a diet pill that works because all I can eat is soup and popsicles.
Ugh. Can you tell I’m annoyed? I will try to cut it out soon but I hate feeling this way.

  1. Ya’ can’t believe everything on Google. ;) It takes a bit to get over strep – especially if this is the first time you’ve ever had it. You, definitely, need your rest.

  2. Listen to DJ. And listen to your body. Sleep all you need to. Stop worrying. Do not watch House. Otherwise you’ll start self-diagnosing sarcoidosis or something. Which it is not. It’s lupus. No! Auto-immune.

Keep up the fluids – can’t hurt. Make sure you get some protein in there. Are you not planning to go away somewhere in a day or two? You need to keep up your strength!

    So sayeth Dr. Gillett.
