I am sitting here eating some yummy blackberries and watching House. It’s storming like a son of a gun out (they sent us home an hour early – didn’t make that big a difference to me because I had a prep last hour) but that should be over by morning. I am still exhausted from last night – I realize that some people do this all the time but I’m not all that used to being at work from 7:30a – 9p. Rob is cute and he fixed our bathroom faucets today. That’s about all.

I love this site. I can’t help it. No, I’m not a mom, so I don’t quite fit the demographic, but as I said in a previous post, I am terminally nosy curious. I love to know what’s going on in peoples’ minds. Sometimes I laugh my head off, and other times I get super angry. Lately there’s been a rash of “Teachers are lazy and only work 150 days a year and get paid $80k/year” posts, which kind of irk me. Sure, we roll in to school at 9 am, cruise on home at 3 pm, we’re all wearing Gucci watches and vacationing in the Bahamas on the other six months of the year that we’re not working.
Oh wait wait! I’m mistaken… but I don’t have time to elaborate on that because today is Parent-Teacher interview day so I’ll be there until 9:30 tonight. I’d better find my good clothes (the same “good clothes” I’ve had for the past four years) and get moving!
