Today was just an extremely long day. I had the same two classes twice each. They were both my youngest classes… and my BIGGEST classes (33 & 34 students, respectively), and for some reason today they were super-antsy. Plus, although I have been drilling it into them since September, and this so it hasn’t been an issue for the past couple of weeks, today I ended up having to give out all the pencils I owned. I even had to break into the promotional pens that I picked up at the Convention last month. Crazy. BUT, at least I got back everything I gave out. Last year I went through two full boxes of pencils (50 count per box) in the year. Plus pens, markers, everything.
Another crappy thing about today was that this one kid was just really, really smelly. Like, super smelly. I won’t say any more about that.
I had a friend email me the other day saying (because I told her how I’d been feeling ucky last week) “You’re pregnant! You’re pregnant and you’re just not telling me! How far along are you? Come on, you can tell me, I won’t tell anyone else”. That was horrible. Because if I actually could get pregnant, I’d be telling everyone about it, believe you me. How do you handle something like that? I mean, honest mistake, sure, except that she already knows that I have PCOS and don’t ovulate so … yeah. Oh well. I just wrote back and said “Nope, not pregnant! Just sick”.
I’ve been watching M*A*S*H pretty much non stop for the past couple of weeks. I’m at Season Seven. This is the season when Hot Lips Houlihan starts wearing 70′s hairstyles (the show is set in the 50s) and I think eventually Radar actually gets laid. Then again, that might never happen and it might be a figment of my imagination.
Now I am super-curious as to whether Radar ever gets the sexy time.

So delicious. So wrong.
I had a hot dog for breakfast this morning.
That is all.

The downside to there being extra sunlight in the morning is that by 4 this afternoon, when I left work, the sun was getting ready to set. It’s 6:30 pm right now, pitch dark, and my body is like “Hi Louise! Time for sleeping!”
Not that I mind. I like sleeping.
Rob and I are watching last night’s True Blood. The actors they chose to portray the characters aren’t near what I’d imagined (I guess that’s the trouble with reading the books the series is based on first) but it’s a fantastic show.
It has begun.
Got up this morning (hooray extra hour of sleep~! Except not really, because I woke up at the “normal” time only it said it was an hour earlier – does that make sense?) and…
It’s snowing.
Last winter was a very wintry winter. First huge storm on the 1st of December, an ice storm that knocked out power (and heat!) for three days, several other storms, endless hours of trying to dig our way out of the driveway.
I didn’t mind the storm days, because I could use them to get caught up on school work. I did mind being cold and slushy all the time. From December through to the middle of May.
Ugh! Mustn’t dwell! Instead let me think of… THIS!
