Just a curiosity…
I pretty much gave up all sugar/white flour (yeah, goin’ hardcore) a couple of months ago. Well, when we got back from Newfoundland, because I wasn’t going to be like “No, I will not eat the food you are cooking!” to my in-laws. I mean, yeah, there’s sugar in fruit and such and I haven’t given that up but it’s to the point where we make our own spaghetti sauce because there’s sugar added to the jars you buy at the store, etc.
I haven’t missed the sugar because I never was a huge one for sweets. Wait, I will admit that I have had a chocolate bar – I am human after all and one dark chocolate bar spread out over a two-week period isn’t bad. I’m not trying to be like, the Sugar Boss Of The World or anything. Just trying to help out my insulin business.
This weekend Rob was out of his personal elixir of life and was having a caffeine-withdrawal headache. In the back of the cupboard I found a can of iced tea drink powder (shaddup, it was for my mom she loves the stuff) that I bought SO LONG AGO that I don’t even remember buying it (and that’s a long time, because I usually have a list in my head of what food we have/don’t have/when we bought it etc). I made him up a pitcher of that and I had a glass myself.
Okay, two glasses.
I was THIRSTY okay? Our tap water is gross and rusty!
What I’m wondering is if the consumption of the sugar-laden drink could be what led to me being nauseous for the next… oh, two days? I’m going to assume yes, and when we go grocery shopping I am going to return to my delicious aspartame-laden-and-probably-worse-for-me-than-plain-sugar diet lemonade. Or, you know, water, once we change our Brita filter.
A wonder

I don’t know if it’s what caused you to be nauseous but I had given up all chocolate (or anything with sugar in it, actually) for almost 2 months until last night when I ate a (plain) chocolate bar… it didn’t make me sick but it didn’t feel too good either. I should have just had a couple of bites and left the rest but where’s the fun in that?
