This afternoon I was cleaning up the kitchen; basically I was scrubbing down the counters and the stovetop, and doing a couple of dishes. As I washed the dishes, I noticed that there was… something… dripping out of the cupboard to my left. Whatever it was, was foamy, and smelled like some kind of propellant. And, when I touched it, it felt weirdly greasy.
I basically emptied the entire cupboard onto the counter, trying to figure out what it was. And I couldn’t. And I’m tall, but not tall enough to see high up in the cupboards, so I wiped up what I could reach, and left it for when Rob came home. When he did get home, he cleaned up the rest, but we still couldn’t quite figure out what was going on there.
Much later, I was putting the stuff back in the cupboard. I had taken everything out of the cupboard and put it on the same spot on the counter. So I finished putting that stuff away, then started to leave the kitchen. I noticed something out of place. A can of Pam cooking spray (which we’ve used once for the barbecue) was on top of the fridge. The cap was on and everything. I picked it up to put it away and noticed it was really light. Turns out it was completely empty.
So somehow all the Pam spray got sprayed in our cupboard, and the can was completely across the kitchen. Maybe I did that in some mental moment, but I don’t think so.
Ah well!
