So I’m really enjoying the van. Of course it’s used, and there are a couple of things that need fixing; we need a new ac compressor in order for the air conditioning to work, but seriously it’s not hot enough anymore that I would want A/C anyway, until at least May or June.
Also, yesterday I took it for an oil change and for them to check things out. They did check things out, as I mentioned in yesterday’s post. Then as soon as I started driving it this morning, the “Check Engine” light came on.
This is not a great thing, but since I’m not driving (hardly at all) at the moment, it will have to wait until we’ve recovered financially from our month-long two-week trip before whatever THAT is gets fixed. Although my brother’s telling me that it might be as simple as unhooking the battery for a while and hooking it up again. Which he will do on Saturday while he repairs some cosmetic stuff (there is a tiny rust bubble on the front fender, and he’s got to weld something else, I don’t know).

Is anyone still reading? CAR POSTS ARE SO LAST WEEK.

  1. Classic line “… from our month-long two-week trip…”

I don’t freak out as much, anymore, over the whole ‘check engine light’ thing anymore. Unless the car is making some kind of odd noise, stopping suddenly, or black smoke is billowing out of the hood? *shrug* I ignore it. That’s probably a bad thing, eh?
