LG: "Pretty Faithfully" means just that. Every day except Sundays because it's closed on Sundays. And, obviously, last night.

Mainja: Thanks - I'll have to check that out. Because I've been eating the way Weight Watchers tells me to, and really, nothing.

not that i'm suggesting going for the lap band, but obviously, if you did, you'd stay here. duh. ;)

honestly, the best thing i've ever done for my weight was to read and sort of follow (but not too stringently because then i get all weird and dietish, which totally backfires for me) the GI Diet by Rick Gallop. it's really straight-forward and clear and super awesome.

i've lost over 60lbs since i've been sort of following it, which i started doing when they finally diagnosed my PCOS and insulin resistance. I basically eat the same foods as i did before, i just eat them in a different way. so, for instance, instead of just having an apple for a snack, i now have an apple and cheese for a snack, because it doesn't raise your blood sugar as much or as fast. the insulin production does something with fat production and blah blah blah. anyway, yeah, the GI diet thing is life changing for me. I bought pants the other day that were a size 22. I know, that sounds big, but I haven't been in a size 22 in probably 10 (or more) years.

ummm. yeah. so, apparently i just got all weird and evangelical. sorry about that...

how about that local sports team?

To ask a hateful question, what exactly is "pretty faithfully" at the gym? The amount of time you spend faithfully there (and how hard the workout is) are determining factors in fast weigh loss. Still, 4 pounds is good!
