Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland

Oh, snow.

I have a love-hate relationship with snow. I hate actually having to shovel it, having to drive in it, or having people throw it at me, or having snow touch me for any length of time, really.

I love the way it looks. I love how pretty it makes everything (even trash cans!).

And I especially love that my work has been closed for the past two days. I still worked, but I worked from home, in my pyjamas, with unlimited supplies of hot chocolate and a break at 2 pm to watch last night’s Law & Order: SVU.
Why do I love that show so much? WHY? And why did last week’s episode make me cry so much?

SVU, snow, hot chocolate… all good things.

  1. I’m agree with everything you said about snow… especially having it thrown in my direction and/or touching part. And (while eating a late lunch) I was watching L&O: SVU at 2:00 too – freaky, way to freaky!!

  2. I can’t remember the last time we had pretty snow. For the last few years, it’s snowed maybe one or two inches in a day, and then instantly turned to gray slush.

So I don’t like it so much anymore.

  3. I love the way it looks, and I like having it touch me (briefly!). I hate the cold. I hate feeling like I might fall and having to step gingerly. I mostly hate when it lingers and turns all black and mushy from the traffic.
