I just want to sleep! Is that too much to ask?

Don’t you hate it when you know you have to wake up in the morning, early-ish, and you just can’t fall asleep? I mean, I LOVE sleeping. I am a CHAMPION sleeper. So why have I been tossing and turning for the past hour?

Sure, it could be that having been home sick for the past two days, I’ve been indulging in numerous naps and layabouts. It’s probably that. Or it could be that I watched the finale of Big Brother tonight (I hated both of the final two… couldn’t care less who won… but I get excited over TV sometimes anyway). Or it could be that I’m nervous about going back to school tomorrow (I KNOW! WHY AM I ALWAYS SO NERVOUS?) or… who knows?

All I know is that I am not only going to have bags under my eyes tomorrow, I’m gonna have luggage.

Do you have any surefire (drug-free ;) ) methods of falling asleep when your body isn’t agreeing?

  1. I wish I had a sure fire answer for you but, as always – I have no clue. I have been going to bed as late as possible to ensure sleeping through the night but, instead, I wake up 2 hours later and lie wide awake for over an hour before I can fall asleep again. It’s irritating.

I get nervous about stuff too – like going over to my best friend’s house last night – no reason for me to be nervous but I felt like I was going to crawl out of my own skin, so I know how you feel.

I wasn’t thrilled with the 2 finalist on BB either – but out of the two at least the right one, um, won. Sorry that kinda ended oddly with the whole “one” and “won”. :)

  2. I have no sure-fire answer that doesn’t involve alcohol.

I just pray that this coming Saturday night, I don’t have one of THOSE nights… because I have to be at work at 7 a.m. Ungodly, that is.
