I have once again gotten sick of my hair. Er, my non-hair. Well, technically it *is* my hair, I mean, I own it, I paid for it. Just because it doesn’t grow out of my head shouldn’t count, should it? Or maybe it should. Anyway whatever, I’m sick of it.
I have two wigs; one short, one long. The short one is over two years old and uhm… well really synthetic hair kind of only lasts maybe a year if you’re lucky (if you’re wearing it everyday, which I had been at first). The long one is real hair, and has lasted over a year, but it’s starting to get ratty a bit, too. Tangles super-easily, most days I end up having to put it up or something to keep from just having a bird’s nest head all the time. Plus I don’t like that it’s a skin part ( “Skin Part” refers to a skin-like plastic under one small area of the hair, where you can part it– so the style isn’t all that versatile) so I don’t get to part it where I want, etc. etc.
So a couple of days ago I ordered a new wig. From eBay. Yes, I know, I should go to a wig shop but there aren’t any here and I’m not travelling four hours and spending more than $100 on the trip. I’m cheap, alright? So… the one I got has a mono top which I like alot (the best wig I could get would be a lace wig, but those things start at $500 so it’ll be awhile before that comes along). It’s human hair (which I also like better than synthetic– you can actually style it as opposed to having to have the same style every day) and hopefully will come in the proper colour. And yeah, just thought I’d say that. Here’s hoping it fits on my Giant Irish Melon Head.
