  1. Okay this one’s better

    April 8, 2006 by Louise

I realize my last post about a dream I had turned out to be kind of… lacklustre. Well, here’s a doozy for you:

I dreamed that Loretta Lynn was at church with me (only I wasn’t me, I was someone else), and she thought I was Satan. So she came up to me and got all upset, and made me take my shoes off so that she could prove that I was the Devil. In church! Then the police came to arrest me because apparently whatever she saw when I took off my shoes proved that I was indeed who she said I was. Only I wasn’t, I was just some person who liked to ride his/her bike (I can’t remember if I was a guy or a girl in this dream). Then my sister’s dog (who was 18 or 19 years old and they just had to put him to sleep) came and helped me escape from prison and I entered some bike race and then I was gone.

  2. Best dream ever!

    April 5, 2006 by Louise

I just woke up and figured I’d get this down while it was still fresh in my mind.

Started out with me going to my friend’s house, where she kept trying to give me this big dish of meatballs (both she and her husband are pretty strict vegetarians). I kept trying to figure out why they had meatballs at their house and she just told me “I make them in secret! They’re delicious!”
Next I was teaching my class when I realized that we were in the mall, and also I was trying to teach them math (yeah– that’s something I should never be teaching), and I didn’t have any shoes on.
Then I went to go buy some shoes (I was in the mall, after all) and people in the parkinglot kept crashing their cars. So I brought them in to the medical center that’s in the mall, and the receptionist told me that they couldn’t come in without their health cards and why didn’t I have their health cards.

Okay so this wasn’t the best dream ever but it was weird and I actually remember it which is rare these days.

(also– YOU MUST HAF STRENGTH TO BE A MAN!)

  3. But his mom was nice to him, right?

    The end! No moral.

  4. You should move! The bombs are coming.

First of all, Maman is lovely. She got home at 7 pm on Thursday and has been hobbling around the house (she’s supposed to stay off her feet but since when has she listened?) in a medicated fog ever since. She’s having a great time with the pain meds, I must say. All “woooooo!” like Liza Minelli or something.

If she knew I was saying this stuff, she’s murder me. I’d be 100% murdered. You’d send flowers, wouldn’tcha?

Seriously, she’s not some wacked-out crackhead. I just find it funny to talk to her when she’s all loopy on the tylenol or whatever it is they have her taking.

Secondly, we have our car! Yay! It’s silver! And we’ll be paying for it for the next 400 years so it had better last! No, I’m totally excited. Like, I used to dread the days when I had to drive to work because I was all freaked out that the car would explode or the doors would stop working completely and the other 3 teachers and I would have to climb out the windows. So it’s good to have a newer vehicle that actually works.

I have a psych appointment on Wednesday which should be nice. I haven’t actually been to a therapist in probably over a year now. When I stopped working and stopped being paid I couldn’t really afford to keep seeing my cool therapist in Halifax so this will hopefully help out some.

Grades are due on Thursday. I am completely freaked out. I fear that all the parents will want to kill me or something. I don’t know why. Also the fact that grades are due on Thursday means that I will be working my butt off for the next few nights, so don’t expect too much out of me here.
