So, October has basically sucked (uhm, since when have I not been complaining about things sucking? I really need to hook myself up with some positivity). Mainly because of Emilio passing away, but also because of my pay (still! but it should be here on Thursday!) not coming in, so I’ve been working for free all month, and not getting my Signed Diana Gabaldon Book Which Now Ruins My Collection Well Not Really But Still It Would Have Been Nice (I did ask a certain friend to do it for me and she was all “YES! Definitely! I’ll be there! And I will get a book signed for you!” and then… she didn’t. I won’t go into details, I’ll just say BAH) and the fact that the Eczema has returned with a vengeance, along with a HUGE (like the size of a quarter. i’m not even exaggerating) blister on my right hand which bursted and my skin is all gross and blistery and sore ALL OVER and I now feel like one of those zombies with their skins all falling off. Ew! Plus when I *do* get paid a major portion of it will go to getting the exhaust fixed on my hooptymobile which is a rustbucket of epic proportions but whatever, we live with it, we love it.
Not even my favourite holiday, Halloween, has really done much to alleviate the suck. We didn’t really do anything this year– kind of impeded by the total lack of cash– aside from sneaking up and stealing rockets from my parents’ candy stash and trying to decide on what scary movie to watch. I ended up falling asleep and Rob watched a scary movie all on his own. No costumes, nothing.
WOO! FESTIVE!
But it’s a whole new month! A whole new leaf is turning over! Things are gonna be looking up! I promise!
On that note, I’d like anyone who’s able to leave a comment saying one positive thing. Doesn’t have to be about me, by the way. Just something positive. Hopefully something positive that will cheer me up — no “I’m positive that your pet is dead” crap.
Okay bye!
Your new wig is GORGEOUS, dahrling, simply gprrrrrgeous!
p.s. What’s your favourite candy??
When I need a laugh I read your entry from May 16 – your dream about Johnny Depp. It cracks me up, every.single.time. Especially the part “Johnny was pretty much a pain in the ass. He would come into our room at night and be like “Psst! Guys! Wanna play Monopoly?” “No Johnny Depp, go away, we are sleeping!” He’d invite Rob for ’sleep-overs’ because he had bunk beds in his room but I would be like “No! No, Johnny Depp! GO SLEEP IN YOUR ROOM ALL BY YOURSELF! NO MORE OF THIS!””
You are very sweet!
Well, but I *would* have gotten your book signed, but I had to work….
My positive thought for the day?
It is NOT snowing.
My positive thing? IT’S FALL AND IT’S NOT HOT ANYMORE OR TOO COLD AND OMG THE LEAVES ARE CHANGING COLOR AND IT’S FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!
My positive thing is that it’s my birthday. It was a beautiful day. Matt bought me flowers and my family came to visit us this past weekend. And my dad finished our downstairs bathroom for us and it looks amazing and matching the painting that was my inspiration perfectly.
my postive thing… the world is full of people who love you, some of us who haven’t even met you.
Erika I TOTALLY didn’t mean you– it was someone else! Eek, I hope you didn’t think I meant you!
Here’s my kind of positive thinking:
(actually kind of depressing if you think about it, but that’s me)
I have a roof over my head, clothes, food, and at least one friend.
