Oh my God you people. You just don’t know.
I’m allergic to everything. I must have touched something that came near a cat today, because I’m currently COVERED in eczema. Literally, hands, arms, legs, tummy, everything is covered. Imagine having chicken pox, and mosquito bites on top of your chicken pox, plus wearing a suit made out of poison ivy.
And I’ve taken like, six benadryls and coated myself in cortisone cream and I’M STILL SO ITCHY IT SUCKS!
okay, the things i did when having a hellish reaction to bedbugs…
ummmm. wait. trying to remember…
oatmeal bath.
vinegar (just white vinegar rubbed on, as a bonus you smell like fries)
baking soad. baking soda is actually amazing.
if it’s actually eczema then i suggest uremol 10. if you can get something prescribed then i would suggest seeing if you can get uremol 10 HC (it’s got hydrocotison in it as well as the other good stuff)
Cold bath! (And hot tea, to keep from freezing) I know it sucks, but there is nothing that soothes like a tepid bath… It’s only temporary, but it’s a small slice of heaven. When I was younger, I would get horrible outbreaks, and the only thing to keep me from taking off a layer of skin or two would be to take a cold bath. Just be sure you don’t get a chill, and dry off completely when you get out – lingering moisture may aggrivate it.
I dont think you should MOVE for a while…WAY too much going on there. If its any consolation…my boobs are hurting too (because I am the human pacifier)…never thought that scare breast pump would be my BestFriend! Want to borrow it? OK, that’s kinda gross!
Hey Meg!you with the breast pump! I’ve been emailing you- have you rec’d any?
I can identify with pain of eczema (which, by the way, sounds like Zena’s bastard child). I currently have a little patch on my hand that has been harassing me since last Spring.
Also, there seems to be two megs commenting on here. I’m of the June 25th variety.
Awwwwwww. Hope the itchy is gone and you’re feeling better. Haven’t been here in a while. Love the new look!
Hugs,
Fate
ouch! I was covered in psoriasis (80%) last January. It sucked. I can relate. Oatmeal baths helped a ton! And going outside. Sunlight is great for Eczema and psoriasis.
Also, try and reduce stress. Keep smiling.
