I believe you’ve all seen pictures of me before, yes no? If not, well, just look around, you’ll find plenty of them. For someone who generally doesn’t enjoy the way she looks (then again, does anyone?) I sure seem to put up alot of pictures of myself.
Anyway, if you’re stalking me, here’s another one to add to your collection (CAUTION: not for the faint of heart and I mean it):
Yep, so that’s me sans the wig– don’t be afraid, it’s only me! I’m kind of freaked out about putting this out there, just because, well, I’m a bald lady! and that’s weird! and people probably think I’m ugly this way! but I figure I should do it once a year, just to keep myself humble.
Also? If you think I’m ugly? Because I’m bald? Feel free to tell me so, but I will LAUGH AT YOU because my boyfriend thinks I’m a cutie.

it’s ok to go without hair. i shaved my head once in my rebellious days, and let me tell you, you look a hell of a lot better without hair than i did! in fact, you remind me of demi moore in her g.i. jane days. yes, you look lovely.

The first thing I noticed is what great eyebrows you have. I love bald, I have always had a thing for bald guys, my husband is doing his best to accomodate me by gradually losing his hair. I love it, you are beautiful.

I’m sure you’re a really nice person and all, but I can’t find a bald girl attractive in a physical sense. Just as many people wouldn’t find someone with an amputation attractive– it’s just not something that turns my crank. Sorry. You should let your hair grow back.
And you, Sam, of “none.com” should get a clue and wonder why this beautiful lady has a bald head rather than making assumptions. Everything is not as it seems in this world and this is one very good example of such an instance. I encourage you to open your mind a little bit already. Sheesh!!

Now guys…all that Sam did was express his opinion (blogs are an open forum after all) and he wasn’t mean or nasty, he didn’t call anyone any names. He’s allowed to not dig bald chicks, and he’s allowed to say it. Just like all of you are allowed your own opinions. And in any case what we think matters so little. All that matters is what Louise thinks of herself and I, and I know all of you, hope that she knows without a doubt that she’s awesome because she’s LOUISE, hair or no. Right?
I agree that ‘Sam’ is allowed his own opinion — each of us has our own “thing”– wht we find physically attractive, etc. I admit that I was a little hurt by ‘Sam’ ‘s comment. I mean, any of us would, even for a second, if some stranger said “Hey, I don’t find you attractive at all”. But the part that got to me was the “You should grow your hair back” part. Honest mistake, for someone who’s never read the archives or asked what was going on with my follicles, but hurtful to me nonetheless because dude, I have TRIED. 50 needles in my head every two weeks. Steroids that are still having an effect on me a year and a half after I stopped taking them. It’s not as though this is by choice, you know?
But I think the worst thing is that Sam didn’t leave a real email address, so I can’t contact him and let him know the deal.
I know, I know, it’s just some anonymous person who doesn’t know me (and what an awesome person I am ha ha ha) and judged me first on looks. I can’t educate everyone in the world. It’s still frustrating.

That is KICK ASS! I know it would be my FACE that would make me look ugly if I didnt have hair to distract (hideous hair at that). You (like Calla) are blessed to have the pretty face that is ACCENTUATED by the shine! Did you see Melissa Etheridge? I thought she looked gorgeous. And I dont think Sam MEANT to be hurtful, but honest (and that’s always scary, because its SO likely to step in it). On another note…I am so sorry it has taken me SO long to visit and write. MANY CONGRATULATINOS on your engagement! I screamed when I heard long ago. Eric and I are now pregnant AND he’s moving us to -yuck- MIAMI. yeah, see, it’s not that sam said he didn’t think it looked good that got me (although there is that whole, if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all), but it was the “grow it back” thing. i realise that the answer was in the archives, but shit, the way louise presented it certainly didn’t seem like “hey guys, look, i shaved my head and i love it!”.
